The Importance of Calcium in Saltwater Aquariums

For corals and all other animals, calcium is one of the most important elements in saltwater aquariums. Calcium plays a major role in the formation of skeletal elements of many marine organisms, algae, and bacterial films. The total consumption here does not occur in a consumption ratio to the carbonate system, as biofilms and cell functions sometimes function without the absorption of carbonates in a fixed ratio.

Why use Fauna Marin salts?
